The UHNW Institute’s Integrated Family Wealth Management Initiative

The UHNW Institute (“The Institute”), a non-profit think tank and learning exchange, is committed to elevating the wealth management industry to serve the best interests of ultra-high-net-worth families. In furtherance of this mission, The Institute has established its Integrated Family Wealth Management (IFWM) Initiative as a strategic priority.

Stephen Prostano, chairman of The UHNW Institute, stated that the initiative aims to empower ultra-high-net-worth families to make informed decisions, aligning their needs (described within the Ten Domains of Family Wealth) with the capabilities of wealth management firms. The initiative promises to reduce marketplace confusion, enhance transparency and facilitate better alignment between firms and their ultra-high-net-worth clients.

This initiative, scheduled to be presented for feedback at the Institute’s annual Symposium in November 2025, is poised to reshape industry standards and significantly improve the family-advisory relationship.
