The UHNW Institute’s Integrated Wealth Management Strategic Initiative
The UHNW Institute was founded largely due to a recognition that the wealth management industry is struggling to deliver integrated wealth management (IWM) solutions for UHNW families. Many families need clarity regarding the benefits provided by an IWM solution tailored to their circumstances. Addressing this situation is a foundational initiative of the Institute.
The Institute’s IWM Initiative is addressing this situation in several ways:
- Institute programs have addressed the lack of transparency and misconceptions related to IWM solutions for UHNW families, challenges related to the delivery of those solutions and how advisors to UHNW families can address these challenges.
- An IWM Initiative Steering Committee comprised of highly experienced practitioners is working on the development of new, groundbreaking models for each practice setting delivering IWM solutions to UHNW families, as well as IWM resources, tools and training for use by advisors and UHNW families.
- IWM will be the theme of the 2023 UHNW Institute Symposium on November 14th in New York City, and all Institute members are strongly encouraged to participate in this event which will include a reception the night before and dinners following it.
The Institute would like to thank and highlight the work being done by the two leaders of its IWM Initiative, Katherine Dunlevie, CEO and president of The Family Office at Synovus and advisory board member of the UHNW Institute, and Wally Head, founder and principal of Personal Fiduciary Advisors and founding board member of the UHNW Institute, as well as the other members of the IWM Initiative’s Steering Committee.
For additional background on this rapidly developing topic, including the role of integrated wealth advisors and teams, you can listen here to Wally Head being interviewed by Peter Moustakerski, CEO of the Family Office Exchange (FOX).
