Stephen Harris – Emcee

Stephen Harris is founder and CEO of ClearView Financial Media ("ClearView"). Joe Calabrese

Joe Calabrese is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Key Wealth Management. He is responsible for overseeing the development, integrated delivery, and strategic development of a full range of financial planning, investment, fiduciary and banking capabilities for Key’s clients.

Joe has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined Key in 2016, and lends his knowledge and expertise to affluent individuals, families, business owners, and institutions.

Before joining Key, Joe held a wide range of executive roles including President and CEO of Geller Family Office Services, a New York based RIA and multi-family office; and President of Harris myCFO, which focused on serving clients with a net worth in excess of $100 million.

Joe graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a joint honors degree in Economics and Finance and holds a Chartered Accountant designation. Joe actively serves on the advisory board of The UHNW Institute and the Gaples Institute for Integrative Cardiology. He is a past President of the Goodman Theatre Board of Trustees in Chicago, and also served as Chairman of the board of overseers for Lewis College of Human Sciences of the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Joe has three children and resides in Bronxville, NY with his wife.

Amy Hart Clyne

Amy Hart Clyne has dedicated more than 30 years of her financial services career to helping prosperous families fulfill the promise and potential of their legacies and achieve wealth momentum, but her real superpower is relationship building. Her infectious energy and glass-half-full attitude helps people overcome obstacles that prevent them from linking up with one another. She thrives as a bridge builder between people and groups offering genuine encouragement and an optimistic outlook on life that can provide a sense of comfort and stability in the face of uncertainty. Amy is a strategic thinker with a passion for learning and sharing those lessons with others.

In her role as Pitcairn’s Chief Knowledge and Learning Officer, Amy works diligently to expand the firm’s position as a leader in the evolution of the family office space. A primary focus is to build out Pitcairn’s proprietary Wealth Momentum® family office model which takes a deeper and longer-term view of family and financial dynamics in order to arrive at better outcomes. Another of her key initiatives has been the creation and development of the Gen7 Project®, the firm’s thought leadership and learning lab created to provide unique resources, content, and educational tools to wealthy families transitioning leadership to subsequent generations.

Before joining Pitcairn, Amy served as Executive Director and Chief Knowledge Officer at Family Office Exchange (FOX), where she led the organization’s knowledge, learning, and education strategies for over 400 families and 150 multi-disciplinary advisors. As an expert in private wealth management, Amy has spent her career translating the needs and desires of ultra-wealth families and their advisors into practical insights and solutions-based experiences that educate, excite, and engage.

Amy has an MBA in Marketing from Columbia Business School, Columbia University, and a BA in International Relations from Colgate University. She has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation as well as the Family Business Advisor certification from the Family Firm Institute.  Outside the office, Amy has a number of pursuits that keep her well balanced. She is more than just an avid skier, having been trained and certified as a PSIA Adaptive Ski instructor. Off the slopes she gets her adrenalin rush from pedaling her Peloton where she uses the handle “badassahc”. In her more reflective moments, Amy practices yoga and enjoys gardening. And regardless of the season, indoors or out, she keeps up her pursuit of lifelong learning, mentoring and coaching others, and above all, remembering to laugh.

 

Katherine Dunlevie

Katherine Dunlevie serves as the president and CEO of The Family Office at Synovus. In addition to leading the firm’s growing team, she oversees strategy, client service and business development while nurturing the distinctive culture focused on people and excellence found within The Family Office.

Katherine’s high-level focus is to refine the firm’s strategy and to chart its path for new growth. But she is also deeply passionate about helping families expand their vision and goals—to think even bigger about what is possible in legacy and wealth building across generations. Investment management is central to this process, but Katherine also sees the cultivation of human capital as crucial to strengthening and sustaining a family’s legacy. To help families identify talents, skills, and abilities across generations—and to help families more effectively communicate—Katherine launched The Center for Family Leadership & Legacy, which provides the tools, information, and formal processes needed to drive desired multi-generational outcomes.

Katherine’s work in the family office industry has been recognized by several organizations and publications. She was named Outstanding CEO by Family Wealth Report, was listed in Georgia Trend Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40, received the Jim Blanchard Leadership Award at Synovus, and was shortlisted for Family Wealth Alliance’s Boutique Multi-Family Office Executive Award. Katherine currently serves on the Kenan-Flagler Business School Next Generation Board of Advisors, University of North Carolina’s Exercise Science Board of Advisors, and on the Advisory Board of the UHNW Institute. Previously, she served on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Visitors.

Katherine’s entire career in financial services has been with Synovus. Prior to joining the Synovus family in 2002, she served with Cru, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ, at the University of Georgia.

Katherine earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Highest Distinction. She went on to receive an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and won the Core Value Award for Integrity.

Katherine is a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®), Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). She also is a member of the Financial Planning Association. Although an Atlanta native, Katherine lives in Columbus, GA. She enjoys tennis, running, UNC sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Betsy Erickson

Betsy Erickson leads Arabella’s work with family and individual clients, supporting them to further their learning, collaboration, and philanthropic goals. During her 14 years at Arabella, Betsy has helped dozens of clients design and launch strategies and run grantmaking programs on issues ranging from conservation to experiential education. Betsy draws on her study and practical experience in systems and family dynamics to facilitate groups to make decisions and work together effectively. Applying her expertise in enabling learning and collaboration, Betsy has significant experience working with multi-generational families

Prior to joining Arabella, Betsy worked for eight years in the nonprofit sector with groups focused on cancer research. She provided independent consulting services to national and regional nonprofit organizations such as CureSearch National Childhood CancerFoundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. She helped these organizations develop corporate partnerships, garner support from family foundations and major donors, and establish and grow their workplace giving campaigns.

Betsy has a BA from Colgate University, where she graduated with honors in two programs: philosophy and religion, and art and art history. Betsy also completed a certificate program in human behavior and public policy at Harvard Kennedy School and a three-year postgraduate program at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family at Georgetown Family Center. Betsy is the faculty chair for the Social Impact and Philanthropy domain at the UHNW Institute and is a leader in the Institute’s DEI work. Betsy is also a member of the Purposeful Planning Institute, co-leading its family dynamics working group. Betsy resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her spouse and two daughters.

John Froese

As a senior leader at Google Cloud and Citi, John has spearheaded various transformative programs that yielded substantial efficiency gains and cost savings. His expertise lies in harnessing the power of technology and cross-functional collaboration to optimize operations and accelerate growth. John has a proven track record in managing large-scale projects, developing effective partnerships, and leading teams towards the successful realization of their goals.

In John’s current role as Director of Google Cloud's North America Banking organization, he leads a diverse team in delivering innovative cloud solutions tailored for the financial industry. John brings a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges in this sector, which has enabled effective guidance of Google’s strategies and solutions.

Abhinav Goel

Abhinav is a senior manager in the Data and Analytics practice with 14 years of experience. He is an AI leader focused on the Wealth & Asset Management sector and has led large-scale AI transformations within front-, middle- and back-office functions. Abhinav leads teams deploying generative AI use cases at leading institutions in middle office operations, contact center and financial advisor (FA) practice management processes. He is proficient in deploying complex AI solutions for client attrition prediction, FA Next Best Action modeling, client segmentation compliance monitoring and supervision, and call center analytics. Prior to joining the firm, Abhinav led data science teams within the insurance industry, overseeing implementation of AI-based insurance pricing tools and broker segmentation analytics. He holds an MBA in Finance and Engineering in Computer Science.

Jim Grubman

Dr. Jim Grubman is an internationally recognized consultant to families of wealth, family enterprises, and the wealth advisory industry. Dr. Grubman has been recognized with his collaborator Dr. Dennis Jaffe, with the Outstanding Contribution to Thought Leadership award by the Family Wealth Report. He is the author of the renowned book, Strangers in Paradise: How Families Adapt to Wealth Across Generations, and co-author of Wealth 3.0: The Future of Family Wealth Advising (with Dennis Jaffe and Kristin Keffeler) and Cross Cultures: How Global Families Navigate Change Across Generations (with Dennis Jaffe) along with multiple other articles, chapters, and white papers. Dr. Grubman is a leader in The UHNW Institute, an industry think tank, and holds Fellow status in the Family Firm Institute and the Purposeful Planning Institute as well as membership in STEP, an international trusts-and-estates organization. His practice, Family Wealth Consulting, is based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Wallace (Wally) Head

Relying on his background as an attorney and a CPA, Wally has advised families regarding all aspects of their wealth for over 40 years.

He has worked closely with family members and family office executives to develop, communicate and implement strategies that effectively managed family wealth and transferred it to future generations.

Throughout his career, Wally has held leadership positions in national accounting and financial services firms and non-profit organizations. He also has authored many articles and been a frequent speaker, panelist or moderator on a full range of wealth management topics.

Most recently, Wally moderated panels and breakout sessions for The Ultra High Net Worth Institute on topics that included:

  • Delivering integrated wealth management services to UHNW families
  • Preparing UHNW families and their family office staffs for a comprehensive IRS audit

Wally grew up on a farm, which he and his brother still operate and is owned by fourth and fifth generation family members. He received a B.A. degree from Westminster College, where he subsequently served as chair of its Board of Trustees, and M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Missouri.

Dennis Jaffe

Dr. Jaffe, a San Francisco-based advisor to families about family business, governance, wealth, and philanthropy, is Senior Research Fellow at BanyanGlobal Family Business Advisors. He is author of Borrowed from Your Grandchildren: The Evolution of 100-Year Family Enterprises; Finding Her Voice and Leaving a Legacy; Cross Cultures: How Global Families Negotiate Change Across Generations; Stewardship in your Family Enterprise: Developing Responsible Family Leadership Across Generations and Working with the Ones You Love. His global insights have led to teaching or consulting engagements in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The Family Firm Institute awarded him the 2017 International Award for service, and in 2005 he received the Beckhard Award for service to the field. In 2020 he was awarded a special commendation as an individual thought leader in the field of wealth management by the Family Wealth Report. He has a BA degree in Philosophy, MA in Management, and Ph.D. in sociology, all from Yale University, and professor emeritus of organizational systems and psychology at Saybrook University in San Francisco.

Richard Joyner

Richard Joyner is a strategic advisor to multi-generational families of wealth, and until October 2023, spent 20 years at Tolleson Wealth Management in Dallas, TX.

From 2017 to 2023, Richard was President of Tolleson Wealth Management, where he led key client service, strategic, and business development initiatives for the company. He served on the Board of Directors, CEO Council, Trust Committee, and Investment Committee. He was also CEO of Tolleson Private Wealth Management, the multi-family office business, and led Tolleson’s team of client advisors and many of its specialty services teams. 

Richard has deep expertise in many of the complex issues facing multi-generational families and the family offices that serve them. His expertise encompasses diverse areas such as income and estate tax planning; family dynamics and education; family governance and investment management. He has facilitated many family meetings and speaks regularly to families about excellence in financial management and improving family wellbeing. 

Richard has won numerous industry awards, including repeated recognition by Barron’s Magazine as one of its Top Independent Advisors.  He served on the Board of Directors of the Investments & Wealth Institute (IWI), including two years as its President (2002-2003). He continues to teach in the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) program offered by IWI.

Richard served for seven years as a member of the Board of Directors of Cristo Rey College Prep High School in Dallas, including 4 years at it Chair.  He currently serves a member of the Board of Trustees at Ursuline Academy of Dallas and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Ultra High Net Worth Institute.

Richard earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wake Forest University. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is a Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Investment Management Analyst, Certified Private Wealth Advisor, and a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner.

Kristin Keffeler

Kristin Keffeler, MSM, MAPP is a thought leader and consultant at the forefront of a global shift in family wealth advising, known as Wealth 3.0. She works with affluent and enterprising families, rising gen, and the professionals who support them. As the Chief Learning Officer for the Johnson Financial Group, she specializes in human motivation and behavioral change, family dynamics, family governance, rising gen education and development, and intergenerational collaboration. In November 2022 she published her first book, The Myth of the Silver Spoon: Navigating Family Wealth & Creating an Impactful Life. In July 2023, she published the co-authored book Wealth 3.0: The Future of Family Wealth Advising with Drs. Jim Grubman and Dennis Jaffe.

Keffeler brings a multi-dimensional approach to her work. She earned an undergraduate degree human biology and chemistry, with an emphasis on human peak performance. She also holds a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Public Health from the University of Denver, and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Angelique LeDoux

Angelique LeDoux, managing editor of content at The UHNW Institute, offers the voice and perspective of a second generation family member, sharing lessons learned from her journey that reflects the complexities of an evolving multigenerational family.

Prior to her work with the Institute, LeDoux was the founding partner and executive director of Parents of Accelerated Learners, NYC (PALNYC), a non-profit that supports talent development of NYC youth. In addition to her non-profit work, LeDoux was the founder of Jade’s ToyBox, an educational and eco-friendly children’s toy company, after a decade as a writer, editor and photographer at TIME Magazine and the Associated Press.

Previously a Managing Director with Golden Seeds, a nationwide angel investor network that invests in women-led companies, and later with socially responsible Investors Circle, LeDoux became focused on early stage investing. She has held board positions in various areas of passion, including children’s healthcare through Menlo Park-based PANDAS Network; education via NYC-based The Speyer Legacy School and edutainment with Boston-based, technology company Playrific. Most recently, she is focused on legacy and storytelling through the Seattle-based venture StoryQ and the non-profit Prodigy Camp to help scale its mission because like her, everyone’s got a story to tell.

LeDoux holds dual masters in Journalism and Fine Art, Photography from New York University and a Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education from Rutgers University. When not traversing the US to see her kiddo in the Pacific Northwest, LeDoux resides in New York City and spends every chance she can either in Austin, Texas, sailing on the ocean or on a bicycle heading downhill.

Kathy Lintz

Kathy began her career in financial services at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. There, she had the opportunity to help develop and deliver one of the first financial education and planning programs in the country at The Chase Exchange. This experience led her to become an early CFP® certificant, and to begin building a fee-only, comprehensive, financial planning practice in St. Louis.

In 1990, with just two employees, Kathy founded the firm that would become Matter Family Office. Her steadfast vision and commitment to the integration of independent investments, deep planning and coordination, family wellbeing, governance, and philanthropy has evolved Matter into a thought-leading multifamily office. Kathy is tremendously grateful to all the talented, dedicated associates at Matter who have shared this vision and helped her realize it over the past three decades.

Kathy works with Matter’s client teams daily and loves building lasting relationships with the complex, multigenerational families we serve. She is also one of four managing members who lead the firm and is responsible for the Matter investment committee and active in evolving our industry-leading family culture and legacy services. As founder, Kathy takes a leadership role in aligning Matter’s values, capabilities, and future efforts with the firm’s core purpose of helping families realize their most important goals in an intentional, integrated, and authentic way.

Kathy spent her formative school years in Westport, Connecticut. She earned a BA in history at Duke University then settled in the New York area to start her financial career. She is a lifelong learner and enjoys building and sharing knowledge across a variety of topics, ranging from finance and investing trends to family psychology and communication.

A contributor to many articles, blogs and industry groups, Kathy is frequently asked to participate as a panelist at industry conferences. She has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Bloomberg, Financial Advisor Magazine, Financial Planning Magazine, and other financial publications.

Kathy and her husband moved to St. Louis in 1982, and she is an active member of the community. She is honored to serve as chair of the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation finance committee and dedicated to helping children gain access to lifesaving care regardless of their financial circumstances. She has also been a board member of the St. Louis Boys and Girls Club and the St. Louis Zoo and brings her positive outlook, collaborative nature, and love of helping people to all the causes she supports.

While enjoying rich relationships with Matter families is a huge highlight for Kathy, her first love and priority is her own family—her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is energized by being outdoors and particularly enjoys hiking, tennis, and golf. And, at the end of a long week, Kathy most looks forward to her Saturday morning run with friends.

Sean Markert

Sean is a seasoned sales professional with a focus on cloud-based AI/ML solutions for the financial industry. He is currently focused on bringing cloud-based AI/ML solutions to the nation's largest banks and financial institutions leveraging cloud service providers such as Google Cloud Platform and NVIDIA. He is passionate about helping his clients leverage the power of AI/ML to transform their businesses and improve their bottom lines. 

Prior to his current role, Sean held a senior sales position at IBM. While at IBM, he was responsible for selling and managing cloud modernization projects for large enterprise customers.

Sean is a highly skilled and experienced sales professional with a deep understanding of the cloud, AI/ML, and quantum computing technologies. He is also a strong communicator and relationship builder. He is dedicated to helping his clients succeed and is committed to providing them with the best possible solutions and services.

Tom McCullough

Tom McCullough is co-founder, chairman and CEO of Northwood Family Office, the leading multi-family office in Canada. He is a frequent speaker on issues relevant to families of wealth and is the co-author of three books — Wealth of Wisdom: The Top 50 Questions Wealthy Families Ask, Wealth of Wisdom: Top Practices for Wealthy Families and Their Advisors, and Family Wealth Management: 7 Imperatives for Successful Investing. He is an adjunct professor and executive-in-residence at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Wealth Management, and a member of the board and faculty of the Ultra High Net Worth Institute. He was awarded ‘Best Individual Contribution to Thought Leadership in the Wealth Management Industry (North America)’ at the 2020 Family Wealth Report Awards.

Jamie McLaughlin

In 2010, Mr. McLaughlin founded J. H. McLaughlin & Co., LLC, a management consulting firm focused on strategy and practice management for wealth management and investment advisory firms, private banks, trust companies, single and multi-family offices.

He has over 30 years of experience in both senior operating roles and client-facing roles in the ultra-high net worth (UHNW) and family office segments of the industry.  Previously, he was CEO of Geller Family Office Services and a partner at Convergent Wealth Advisors.

In 2021, Jamie was the recipient of the Family Wealth Report Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.

Earlier in his career, Jamie served in the Connecticut General Assembly for a decade as a two-term State Representative and a three-term State Senator.  In 1985, the Hartford Courant named him one of Connecticut’s “10 Best Legislators.”  

Jamie earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Lafayette College and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.  

Thom Melcher

Thom Melcher is a Managing Director and Glenmede’s Director of Private  Wealth. He leads the Company’s planning, advisory and investment professionals who are responsible for delivering comprehensive wealth management to individuals and families across the country. In addition, he oversees the Sales and Marketing teams as well as The Center for Family Philanthropy and Wealth Education.

As a member of Glenmede’s Executive Committee, Mr. Melcher is one of 10 leaders responsible for the development and execution of corporate strategy.  He also serves as Chair of the Private Wealth Operating Committee and is a voting member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Melcher devoted over two and a half decades to PNC, where he most recently served as EVP and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the PNC Asset Management Group. Prior to that, he was the Managing Executive of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth, where he built the practice into one of the nation’s foremost providers serving ultra-high net worth clients. Previously, Mr. Melcher held the CIO role for PNC Wealth Management in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

  

Mr. Melcher has a Bachelor of Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and pursued graduate work at Drexel University in investment management. 

Mr. Melcher’s media presence includes appearances on CNBC, citations in the Financial Press and extensive quotations in “The Family Office Book,” written by Richard Wilson. He authored the foreword to “Sell Like A Team” by Michael  Dalis and was twice recognized as one of the nation’s “Top 100 Wealth  Advisors” by Worth Magazine.

Mr. Melcher is Chair of the UHNW Institute Advisory Board, member of the Board of Councilors for the USC Shoah Foundation, Advisory Board member of the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C., and Investment Committee member of the Annenberg Foundation at Sunnylands. Prior community work includes serving as a Corporate Council member of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

  

Susan Mucciarone

Susan P. Mucciarone is a financial services industry leader, independent strategic advisor, and philanthropic and corporate board member. She has led organizations through start-up, turnaround, and expansion business strategies and is known as an authentic leader with a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, create diverse and inclusive cultures, and deliver exceptional growth, financial and operating results. Susan’s professional expertise includes Family Wealth and Investment Management, Alternative Investment Management, and Client Education, Philanthropy and Relationship Management.

Susan retired from Glenmede in early 2023 where she had served as Executive Director of Private Wealth and a member of Management Committee, and where she now serves as an independent Strategic Advisor and a Board Director for The Glenmede Trust Company of Delaware. Prior to joining Glenmede, Susan was a founding partner for the Alternative Investment Group at First Union, a founding partner and managing executive for Calibre, the nationally recognized multi-family of Wachovia, and an executive vice president and managing partner for Wells Fargo Family Wealth. She spent her early career in product development, business development, and business accounting.

Ms. Mucciarone currently holds board appointments with Case Western Reserve University, Natural Lands, and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. In addition, she is a member of the Weatherhead Visiting Committee and an Advisor for Case Western Reserve University’s Center for Family Business. She has been honored as the 2022 keynote commencement speaker for the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, the 2017 commencement speaker for Bowling Green State University’s College of Business, and as one of the 50 most influential women in Private Wealth.

Susan earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.

David Novick

David Novick is a Managing Director on PwC’s Private Family Enterprises team and is based in Chicago. PwC is a leading provider of professional services to family enterprises and high-net-worth families, serving over 3,000 U.S. families and 10,000 globally. 

David has over a 30 year record of success working with families, board directors, and advisory boards as well as leading single and multi-family offices. He has extensive experience assisting families and family offices with governance initiatives; succession, transition, and continuity planning (both for families and the offices that serve them); family office structuring; review and selection of outside vendors; and, perhaps most importantly, fostering effective communication within complex family units and among multiple generations. 

Prior to joining PwC in 2021, David served as President of Johnson Keland Management, Inc. (JKM) providing corporate and family governance, financial, and advisory services to individual members of the Samuel C. Johnson and Karen Johnson Boyd families (majority owners of S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.). During his decade-long tenure he worked with members of G4-G7 and led the development and implementation of transition and succession planning governance initiatives both for the family and family office. 

Before joining JKM David was Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for William Harris Investors, a 55-person multi-family office. Between 1998 and 2004 he served as Sr. V.P. of Security Capital Group, a leading publicly-traded international real estate operating and investment management company. David is an attorney by background beginning his career as a Partner in the Financial Services practice of Katten Muchin Rosenman in Chicago.

Nicole Perkins

Nicole leads Gresham’s client experience and development efforts  and serves on Gresham’s Operating Committee. In this capacity, she  is responsible for developing and enhancing client relationships and  driving the firm’s marketing strategy. Nicole draws on over 30 years  of experience serving as an attorney and senior executive in trust,  investment, wealth management and family office advisory firms, and  as a personal advisor to wealthy individuals and families.

Prior to Gresham, Nicole served as an Executive Vice President of  the PNC Financial Services Group and as the Managing Executive of  Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth. Previously, she served as Director of  Fiduciary Services at Hawthorn and provided wealth management  advice to ultra-high net worth clients. Nicole began her career in the  advertising industry with D’Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles in New  York City. As the daughter of family business owners, early in her career  she assumed responsibility for managing the family’s restaurant, jazz  club and real estate business, also located in New York City. Later  she practiced law in high profile law firms in Philadelphia until she  established and ran her own trust and estate legal practice for nearly a  decade.  

As a speaker and writer, Nicole addresses a broad range of financial  topics, as well as her unique experiences as a black female executive  in the financial industry. Nicole is the author of Truly Rich: An Insider’s Guide to Building Financial and Emotional Wealth. Nicole’s written  work has been featured in Financial Advisor IQ, Philadelphia Business  Journal, Advisor Magazine, and Fairygodboss.com. Her speaking  engagements have included Bloomberg Radio, Financial Planning  Association National Conference, the Forum for Executive Women  among others.

 

Nicole has been actively involved over the past 30 years in community  projects and issues affecting the underserved in the areas of  education, legal advocacy and social justice.

 

Stephen Prostano

In a career spanning over three decades, Steve Prostano has distinguished himself as an innovator and thought leader in the wealth management, multi-family office and global financial services industries. He has designed and built leading global and national multi-family offices, asset management firms and has advised industry leaders and ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices throughout his career.

Prior to joining the Firm, Steve was the Head of Family Wealth Advisors, a division of Bank of the West Wealth Management, an affiliate of BNP Paribas, where he built the first global, multi-family office in the U.S. Additionally, he served on the Bank of the West’s Senior Management Committee. Steve is also the founder of The UHNW Institute, a nonprofit, independent “Think Tank” and publisher of exceptional thought leadership content for UHNW families, family offices, their advisors and the financial services industry.

Steve previously served as CEO of Silver Bridge, President of Atlantic Trust and a Global Partner of Amvescap, President of Chase Global Asset Management and Executive Vice President of the Private Clients Group of FleetBoston Financial. He also held senior positions with Mellon Bank and KPMG, where he began his career.

Steve is the recipient of several distinguished industry awards, including Family Wealth Report’s Leading Individual in the MFO Industry and Private Asset Magazine’s Outstanding Contributor to the Wealth Management Industry.

Laurent Roux

Laurent has worked with families and family offices worldwide for nearly 40 years, with a focus on strategic wealth management, family wealth advising, family office construction and operations, and international asset management. He was director and managing director at Pictet & Cie, Private Bankers in Geneva, Switzerland, and a number of its international affiliates during his 25 years at the firm. Laurent participates in the overall management of Willow Street on the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Investment Committee of Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming, LLC.

Following his years with Pictet & Cie, Laurent founded Gallatin Wealth Management, an independent wealth advisory and consulting firm that acts as a trusted advisor to families of wealth and family offices. Laurent leads or is a member of several investment committees, both private and institutional. He is on the Advisory Board of The UHNW Institute and is a Fellow and former Board Member at the Family Firm Institute, where he taught the Family Wealth Advising Certificate Program. He has spoken at leading business and wealth industry forums around the world, and has written articles and book contributions pertaining to family, business, and wealth.

Swiss by birth, Laurent’s family came to Jackson in 1966. He earned a BA from the University of Colorado and a JD from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, and attended the Graduate Institute of International Studies Master’s program in Geneva, Switzerland. Laurent is currently Treasurer of the Special Operators Transition Foundation and Chair of the National Museum of Wildlife Art.Laurent has worked with families and family offices worldwide for nearly 40 years, with a focus on strategic wealth management, family wealth advising, family office construction and operations, and international asset management. Danielle Vlakner

Danielle Valkner leads our family office service offerings in the US and has over 30 years experience focused on financial services and family enterprises. She has led multiple engagements focusing on the unique needs of family offices, family businesses and asset managers in the areas of family office set up and optimization, digital strategy, automation and technology transformation, finance effectiveness and reporting, process improvement, due diligence, M&A and value creation and risk management and control.

Prior to joining PwC Danielle worked directly for two large global asset managers, gaining extensive industry experience in Chief Financial and Chief Administrative Officer roles, responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, strategic planning and analysis, infrastructure, complex investment products and valuation, finance, treasury, accounting, risk and internal controls. Danielle also spent over 10 years as an auditor in the financial services sector specializing in banking and asset management, gaining valuable experience with complex financial instruments, SEC reporting, international finance operations, private equity, real estate and hospitality as well as Sarbanes Oxley/internal control frameworks.

Danielle graduated summa cum laude from Augustana College where she majored in Accounting and Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics. Danielle has also attended Northwestern Kellogg Family Business Advanced Education Program. She is a licensed CPA and an Elijah Watt Sells and State of Illinois medal recipient for her performance on the CPA exam. Danielle is passionate about child welfare and has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system and is president and founding board member of a private foundation focused on supporting teens and young adults who are facing life challenges, are in crisis or aging out of the foster care system.

Randy Webb

Randy is a partner and senior advisor for Family Office solutions. He joined the firm in 2018 as a result of the partnership between Brown Advisory and Signature Family Wealth Advisors. Randy’s experience includes, managing director of Bank of America’s mid-cap investment banking group and senior vice president in the corporate finance group of Bank of America’s predecessor institution, NationsBank.

Christopher Zander

Chris is the President and CEO of Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company, N.A., responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the firm in serving families, foundations, and endowments across the United States.

Chris joined Evercore in 2008 as a founding partner at Evercore Wealth Management and the Chief Wealth & Fiduciary Advisor. He was named President of Evercore Trust Company in 2017, President of Evercore Wealth Management in 2019, and CEO of both Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company in 2020.

Chris previously headed the U.S. Trust Multi-Family Office, leading teams across the country in providing ultra high net worth clients and their families with investments, wealth planning and fiduciary services.

As CEO of Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company, Chris continues to advise clients across the United States.

Chris received a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University. He is an Advisory Board member of The UHNW Institute and the Northwell Health estate planning committee, and the former Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Trust Management Association.

Michael Zeuner

Michael Zeuner has been serving wealthy families for more than two decades. As one of three managing partners of WE Family Offices, he oversees the firm’s US business strategy. Michael is a nationally recognized leader in the family office industry and has dedicated his professional career to empowering financially successful families to manage their wealth. Michael is a co-founder and a board member of the Ultra High Net Worth Institute, a non-profit think tank and learning exchange. In addition, Michael is a co-founder and a board member of the Institute for the Fiduciary Standard and serves as an independent director at Wren Investment Office, a UK-based multi-family office and a member firm of the global alliance formed by WE, Wren and MdF.

Prior to his role at WE Family Offices he served as senior executive partner of GenSpring Family Offices. In this capacity, he had responsibility for the leadership and management of GenSpring’s network of 10 family offices in the United States, that firm’s key advisory practices, and its delivery of a high-quality client experience. In addition, he was a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Before joining GenSpring, Michael was managing director and global head of Wealth Solutions at JP Morgan Private Bank. As a member of the executive team, he had responsibility for strategic planning, branding, marketing and specialized advisory services (family governance, philanthropy and fine art wealth management) for the worldwide private bank.

A management consultant by training, Michael led projects in the financial services area for both Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He joined Chase Manhattan in 1995 as vice president at the investment bank and moved to the private bank in 1997 to head up strategy and marketing worldwide. JP Morgan and Chase merged in January 2002.

Michael also serves as a mentor at the Watson Institute, which specializes in incubating socially focused entrepreneurs and their businesses. Watson mentors are among the foremost leaders and practitioners in the area who work one-on-one with scholars to help them solve challenges and broaden their global network. Michael graduated from Brandeis University, (B.A.) and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
